Accessibility Statement

The Act on the Provision of Digital Services obliges the public sector to comply with the requirements of the European Union’s Directive on Web Accessibility. The WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is an international set of guidelines for web content accessibility. The law requires websites and applications to meet WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA criteria. 

Accessible digital services are easy to use for all users. When accessibility has been taken into consideration, as many people as possible can use digital services independently.

The Municipality of Posio aims to achieve at least WCAG AA level or better in the accessibility of digital services by 31 January 2021, through a comprehensive renewal of the website. 

The Municipality of Posio will ensure accessibility through the following measures: 

– The website was renewed in January 2021, with changes made to meet accessibility requirements. 

– Those updating the content of the website have undergone accessibility training. 

– The forms and files will be processed in stages. Forms will be made accessible with the introduction of e-services. Reporting shortcomings in accessibility

Non-accessible content can be requested in accessible format. 

We will reply to you within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with the reply you receive, or if you do not receive a reply at all within two weeks, you can report the matter to the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland.
