Maintenance of tracks

With Posio’s varied network of cross-country skiing tracks, both fitness enthusiasts and competitive skiers will find something for them.  

In optimal conditions in late winter, the length of the maintained tracks is around 70 km. There are about 23 kilometres of lit tracks, however the lights are switched off at 20:00. 

Posio also has many snowmobile tracks, which are maintained by private individuals throughout the area.
